Internship application – physical performance department

In AIK Fotboll Akademi, we are searching for open-minded, punctual, independent, creative, and dedicated persons, who are searching for an option turning theory into practice and who are dedicated about investing in a future career within the football industry.

AIK Akademi will both consider applicants who are currently enrolled at an educational program or applicants who recently graduated from a relevant educational program.

The internship students will be included in different assignments for the academy and will be under the supervision of academy S&C coach Jesse Straver.

With regards to the first position at the academy, the assignments and desired qualifications are as follows;

• Support the Academy Fitness Coaches or physiotherapists with return to play

• Minimum a BSc in Sports Science or another relevant educational programme

• Collecting and presenting relevant data within the Sports Science Department such as GPS monitoring, Physical Screening, Wellness-sRPE etc.

• Helping and supporting academy physical performance coaches during the physical trainings on and off the pitch.

• Carrying out warm-ups and athletic development for the younger academy groups

• Match-Day

In the daily life, the internship students will be based at the training ground together with the academy.

The internship position is non-paid, however AIK Akademi will help out with accommodation, include First-Team season tickets and cover travel expenses. The start date of the internship positions is preliminary in July 2025.
